Director Advanced Practice Providers

GENERAL SUMMARY:

• The APP Director will provide support for all operational and financial issues relating to APP services.

• Participates on the appropriate Henry Ford Health committees that impact these providers, as required.

• Time commitment is a minimum of 90% administrative and 10% clinical practice, or as determined appropriate by leadership.

• Responsible for overall administrative leadership of assigned APPs, assigned departments and personnel.

• Typically reports to the Chief Nursing Officer/Chief Medical Officer or Executive Leader.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Requires demonstrated experience working with key departmental or system committees and/or have served in a previous leadership role.

• At least five (5) years of experience required as an Advanced Practice Provider.

• One (1) year leadership/supervisory experience preferred. Experience such as working with local or national societies or organizations, or academic credentials including teaching experience preferred. Master's degree in their area of specialty, business or other related fields is desirable.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant current licensure required.

• Must meet and maintain the minimum education and credentialing requirements for their practitioner type as set forth by that National Accrediting Agency.

• Must be eligible for and maintain current Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant licensure in the State of Michigan.
