You, The Director of Advanced Analyticswill create the vision and shape the strategy for advanced analytics within the
Quality & Compliance space, as part of J&J's digital supply chain. This position will enable a proactive anddata-driven culture within Q&C that can rapidly generate actionableinsights which accelerate business value realization.
Partnering with senior Q&C, J&JTechnology and Supply Chain leadership, this position will build and sustainthe capacity for data modeling, simulation, forecasting and discovery in order topropel Q&C strategic plans, and move the organization to self-service,predictive and prescriptive analytical capabilities.
In addition, you, the Director ofAdvanced Analytics, will lead development and execution of a portfolio ofanalytics opportunities which drive improvement in quality and speed to value,while reducing cost and risk to the business. This position and their team will participate in cross-functionalanalytics programs, pilots, benchmarking and market research activities thatshape Q&C strategies. You willmanage 2 3 direct reports. Set the vision, and create and sustain the Q&Cadvanced analytics strategy, operating model and enabling capabilities.
You, the Director of Advanced Analyticswill:
Develop and drive execution of a portfolio ofanalytics opportunities, accelerate business outcomes through leverage ofreal-time analytics, predictive modeling, machine learning, etc
Lead teams in definition of business cases,execution of analytics pilots and generation of insights which shape Q&Cstrategies, and result in viable projects
Build and sustain the Q&C organizationalcapacity to apply advanced analytics to solve business challenges, promoteadoption of enterprise capabilities
Evaluate internal strategies and externalenvironment to challenge our assumptions around sources of data, analyticaltechniques, tools, and talent needs
Partner with S&D and IT to ensure enablingdata and technology strategies and roadmaps are continuously aligned to Q&Cadvanced analytics strategy
Lead and/or participate in cross-functionalanalytics programs, pilots, benchmarking and market research studies, andincorporate learnings into the Q&C strategy
Identify gaps in the Q&C program portfolioin delivering our strategy, and collaborate with thought leaders across thebusiness to identify new program concepts.
A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years ofbusiness experience is required.
Experience in technology industry, health care,or other regulated technical industry is preferred.
Experience in the application of analyticaltechniques and associated tool sets (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Spotfire, etc.) isrequired.
Understanding of data management/governancetechniques as well as preparation in support of analysis is required.
Superior team building and leadership skills arerequired.
Strategic thinking, visionary and foresight toconceptualize new solutions that address core business objectives is required.
Excellent communication skills and the abilityto interface effectively with all levels of the organization is required.
Project management experience is preferred.
Executive presentation skills are required.
Collaborative approach and ability to connect isrequired.
Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity is required.
Bifocal approach - ability to zoom-in/zoom-outfor strategic and tactical, high-level and detailed, etc. is required.
Ability to lead in the context of Our Credo isrequired.
Specific experience in benchmarking andincorporating the outside/inside view through a functional strategic planningprocess and establishing metrics and scorecards to monitor progress against
Strategic Plans is preferred.
Experience in leading multiple areas of QualitySystems is preferred.
Experience in partnering with regulatoryauthorities to consider future strategies in a healthcare environment, whileadhering to the prevailing regulations or influencing their evolution in ahealth care industry would be an asset
This position will be located in New Jersey andmay require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel.
