Univision Communications' sales and marketing organizations are looking for a highly motivated B2B marketer and media fanatic to join our team. The position is an integral part of a platform-agnostic team devoted to: Securing Univision's place as a leading U.S. media company and the Hispanic consumer thought leader; enhancing the stature of all Univision's media assets and driving awareness of the business opportunity we offer; and providing best-in-class sales enablement.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic, proactive and collaborative marketing professional with a proven track record of creating persuasive materials that are beautiful. They must exhibit true skill and passion for critical thinking and be able to express that thinking with exceptional verbal and written skills. We are looking for someone who is highly capable of building relationships and coalitions and influencing others. Experience should reflect 8 or more years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within a media or research company, advertising agency or a B2B advertising service provider. The position reports to the VP of Ad Sales & Marketing

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a senior member of the team contributing to major projects that deliver on the mission stated above. Projects include, but are not limited to:

o Sales Tool Creation: Build presentations and other materials that offer marketers and agencies a compelling reason to work with Univision Communications

o Thought Leadership: Develop insight-driven stories and presentations for industry events that educate marketers and agencies on the Hispanic business imperative, and work with the team to plan and execute our annual Leading the Change conference

o Sales conferences and offsite: Help senior sales leaders develop agendas and build content to rally their teams

o Case Studies: Uncover, craft and merchandise case studies illustrating successful cross-platform campaigns

o Content Marketing: Contribute to our "always-on" content marketing strategy writing insights-based blogs for Univision.net

o Upfront: Serve as an active member of the pre-Upfront and Upfront working team

  • Work with senior sales leaders across key business verticals in these capacities:

o Lead meetings that extract sales needs, priorities, key business hurdles and unique sales propositions

o Consistently offer proactive ideas to grow the business

o Create sales tools that offer the reasons to buy

  • Provide B2B marketing expertise, strategy and support in important business sectors/consumer categories (e.g. Auto, Healthcare, CPG, etc.)

o Build a relationship with key players so that they think of you as a part of the team

o Build and execute marketing plans that promote the value of Hispanic consumers and Univision Communications' expertise within the category. Tactics may include: blog posts, presentations, sponsorship, promotions, e-blasts, bylines, videos, collateral pieces, social media, info graphics, events and case studies

  • Manage, mentor and retain team members

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA in marketing or a related field and 8 years minimum experience working at a media or research company, agency or a B2B advertising service provider (OR High School / GED and 12 years of experience stated)

  • Experience at creating marketing content and materials that effectively support the Sales team, are visually appealing and stand out.

  • Experience reviewing and analyzing media and consumer research to find sales stories

  • Proven track record of success in developing, persuasive presentations for external client audience and internal executives and experience presenting to large audiences

  • Excellent writing and copy-editing skills for thought leadership (bylines, blogs, and social posts) and creative pieces (promos, video scripts, trade ads, speeches)

  • Project Management skills experience leading and executing on large scale projects successfully

  • Passion for the ever-changing media and marketing landscape to keep up with, spot, and tap into major trends

  • Self-driven individual with ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Effective at interacting and building relationships at all levels within a matrixed organization

  • Influence/People Leadership: be able to lead by influence, working effectively with UCI department leaders and senior executives in accomplishing their goals. Requires a proven track record leading change initiatives and excellent process management skills.

  • Critical thinker with exceptional judgment

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communications skills and the ability to write and communicate in a clear and persuasive manner

  • Exceptional presentation skills developing and presenting materials

  • Spanish proficiency, a plus

  • Sponsorship activation

  • Conference / off-site content development

  • Management of design projects

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work from offices in NYC

  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

  • Must be willing to travel 15% of the time

  • Must be willing to submit a writing sample for consideration
