Visa has an extraordinarily rich data set that spans more than 46 million merchant locations globally and captures more than 160 billion transactions per year. Making this data more usable and accessible to our clients, in a responsible way, is key to enabling our clients to better serve their customers through insights from the data and to putting cash out of business. The focus of the Acquirer and Merchant data role is to partner with acquiring clients on data Visa provides them through APIs and other tools and on improving the processes supporting data they provide to Visa. We are looking for a product manager who is equally passionate about the opportunity to use Visa's rich data to tackle meaningful business problems and engaging with clients to help them solve their specific challenges. You will join a Global Data Product team of data enthusiasts that includes data scientists, product managers, data architects, and many more.
This role reports into the VP of Data APIs and Platforms. The position is based either at Visa's headquarter in the San Francisco Bay Area (Foster City, CA) or our office in the Washington, DC Metro Area (Ashburn, VA).
Develop and execute an overall strategy to collect and enrich comprehensive merchant and acquirer data to create a competitive advantage for Visa
Ensure that Visa has the best merchant and acquirer data set globally
Explore and implement opportunities to enrich Visa's merchant data with third party data
Through stellar empathy, deeply understand our clients' business challenges and match the solutions we have to those challenges.
Articulate client needs effectively to drive the product roadmap for acquirer and merchant data APIs
Effectively partner with regional teams, Data Product teams and the Technology organizations to capture additional merchant data and lead the roll-out of the Acquirer Merchant Master File (AMMF) process globally
Use systematic process improvement discipline (e.g. Lean, continuous improvement, kaizen) to simplify and automate the processes acquirers use to submit data to Visa.
Build and leverage tools to systematically evaluate data coming from clients for quality and consistency and partner with clients on resolving gaps.

Ability to create a comprehensive product vision and strategy and execute against this vision
Expertise in building high quality and scalable data products
Ability to directly and indirectly lead and inspire colleagues
Ability to collaboratively problem solve with clients and partners using data and analytical and logical rigor
Ability to collaboratively develop solutions with technology teams
Technical client service experience (e.g. client support for enterprise software)
Process improvement experience, especially using established process improvement disciplines like Lean, continuous improvement, kaizen
Great collaboration skills across a diverse set of functions including technology and sales
Knowledge of modern data platform solutions is a plus, but not required
Ideally 12+ years of responsible staff, product or service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous exposure to financial services, credit cards or merchant analytics is a plus, but not required
