PFU America, Inc. is currently seeking an Accounting Supervisor, Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets. This role will be responsible for the supporting the PAI Group company's day-to-day accounts payable (AP) and fixed asset (FA) operations and will be tasked with ensuring adequate AP and FA internal controls by following company procedures, approvals and documentation requirements. In addition, the Accounting Supervisor will provide support to the Accounting and Finance group in a wide array of accounting functions to include: month-end closing, general ledger, data compilation, data entry, analytics, and calculation and verification of data in accordance to GAAP.


Directs the accounting and finance staff in full-cycle accounting operations, including the monthly close process; production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of, and improvements to, corporate accounting systems; establishment and maintenance of internal controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the Company's reported financial results, and ensures that reported results comply with Fujitsu Group Financial Policy (GFP). Leads the team in the development of the quarterly operating plans, financial forecasts, management reporting and a wide range of detailed analyses.


  • Oversee all company accounting functions including revenue, cost, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, fixed assets, payroll, tax and general ledger to ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly and annual financial statements on a group and consolidated basis.

  • Oversee group cash flow through successful AP and AR management and supervision of the cash collection process.

  • Lead the team in the development, preparation and presentation of monthly management reporting including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, actuals vs. forecast/budget, and KPIs.

  • Oversee financial analysis and related data interpretation to plan, guide and evaluate operating results as compared to plans, budgets, and historical or projected.

  • Direct the group budgeting, financial forecasting and operating plan processes including ownership of and enhancements to the modeling system.

  • Safeguard corporate assets through establishment and administration of a system of internal controls including comprehensive business plans.

  • Monitor business systems and procedures to ensure adherence to financial control policies of the Company, including timely and accurate reporting of revenues and costs.

  • Oversee implementation of effective financial data processing through automation and elimination of redundant tasks.

  • Oversee financial planning for new businesses and projects as requested by executive management.

  • Ensure Company profitability by reviewing and approving all customer discount requests.

  • Manage sales commission administration and reporting for the FCPA sales team.

  • Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support the Company's growth needs. Recommend actions to affect the Company's financial performance. Manage due diligence processes for M&A activities when needed.

  • Ensure the hiring and development of qualified staff to support the financial control function and maintain a system of job rotation, continuing education and promotion of staff to ensure that the financial control function is consistently staffed with a competent, well trained and pro-active team.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED: Lead complex reviews and special projects as assigned by senior leadership including the EVP/CFO and Senior Vice President, Finance & Accounting. Receives objectives, assignments and guidelines from this leadership team and exercises discretion in their implementation, maintaining confidentiality in all matters as directed.

REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS: Interacts with company leadership and all employees in both group and one-on-one settings while maintaining professional and productive relationships with FCPA/PAI departments at all times.


10 years' work experience within a corporate environment, 5 years' in a supervisory capacity overseeing the work of more than 4 staff members.


Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA preferred.


  • Knowledge:
    Financial reporting and IFRS knowledge required. Strong understanding of corporate level taxation. Proficient in Oracle sub-ledgers and general ledger.

  • Skills:
    Hands-on pragmatic approach to business, asset management, cash flow and reporting required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel spreadsheet creation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presentations to senior management, board or other outside partners.

  • Abilities: Has strong ability to successfully perform under strict deadlines and with minimal supervision; detail-oriented, excellent work ethic; keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting. Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions; able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information.
