Working Title Director, Academic Technologies Brief Summary of Job Description
Responsible for directing all aspects of Academic Technologies for the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus.
Job Duties
Reporting areas include, but not limited to Academic Technology support of the Learning Management System and supporting ecosystem of products that integrate with it or support teaching and learning, audio visual leadership in academic and non-academic spaces, and business intelligence initiatives and new technology planning, integration, and implementation related to academic technology.
Ensuring continuous availability of services to meet university service level agreements in a 24×7 operation. Recruiting, selecting, and developing staff to deliver services. Strategically organizing financial and people resources to meet objectives.
In collaboration and partnership with Academic Affairs, provide technology solutions that assist in meeting campus and University goals. Responsible for providing strategic, technical, process, and operational leadership within ITS as well as strategic partners at UNK including Graduate Studies and Academic Innovation. Interacting across ITS and functional areas to understand requirements and opportunities for enhancing services.
In collaboration and partnership with the campus CIO and UNK Academic Affairs, provide technology solutions that assist in meeting campus and University goals.
This position will uphold the ITS core principles of outstanding collaboration and communication, a drive to succeed, a passion for higher learning, and acting with integrity to provide direct support.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
5 years of experience, of which 3 needs to be in supporting common academic technology platforms
Experience working directly in support of faculty/instructors
Demonstrated proactive engagement and outreach with stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree
Experience teaching at university level
Experience in higher education.

Friday 8am
