Direct and oversee custodial operations for multiple sites. Design and implement proactive policies, quality assurance standards, and leadership in effectively managing custodial operations
Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited University preferred
Five (5) year of experience in a directly related field in lieu of degree required
Ten (10) years of directly related experience, including five (5) years of supervisory experience; computer experience in processing documents and record maintenance
Knowledgeable of custodial operations for a large, multi-site organization
Knowledgeable of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures
Knowledgeable of planning and scheduling techniques
Demonstrated ability to monitor and maintain quality control standards
Demonstrated effective public relations and communication skills, both orally and in written form
Performs planning and develops strategies to accomplish the Custodial Services Department mission.
Plans, assigns, and reviews the work of team engaged in supervising employees on assigned shifts performing routine and specialized tasks.
Makes recommendations concerning the selection and procurement of supplies and equipment.
Maintains budget and inventory records and prepares reports concerning operations.
Maintains relevant OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) records.
Ensures maximum effective use of time, labor, and materials. Identifies vendors for appropriate product/equipment selection and parallels employee training.
Develop and review annual operating budgets; determine requirements for personnel, supplies, materials, and equipment, monitor expenditures to ensure consistency with departmental objectives and compliance with established budgets.
Monitor and evaluate personnel to ensure project completion, technical accuracy, and adherence to departmental and district policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs and safety standards.
Comply with District policies and procedures.
Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.
Salary Minimum: Salary Midpoint:
Selected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines. A campus-based employee may not assume a new position for which he/she was selected based upon the posting process until the end of the current semester, unless approved by the chief officer Human Capital Management.
