The Direct Support Professional is part of our Youth & Family Services department. The role of a Direct Support Professional (DSP) encompasses fostering independence, aiding youth with daily living activities, executing individualized goals determined by each youth, maintaining precise records, supporting activities that promote a healthy lifestyle, and offering transportation for appointments and community excursions. This position is for our overnight shift Locations across Pittsburgh. Perfect for full time students who are looking to get some time to finish class assignments at work! Our locations include Downtown, Wilkinsburg, Verona, Monroeville, & Plum.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide required levels of supervision and security for residents at all times.
Promote healthy, professional, and mentoring relationships with residents in all daily living activities that facilitate competency development, improve safety, and increase overall well-being.
Participate in the development of all service components, including referral, intake, assessment, service planning and delivery, and discharge.
Provide timely, accurate and professional written and verbal documentation of all program operations and service components.
Supervise and document the administration of prescribed and non-prescribed medications in accordance with state regulations and agency policies.
Provide transportation for residents to ensure their safety on appointments, in accordance with agency policies and legal mandates.
Attend all meetings, supervisions and trainings as required.
Requirements
High school diploma/GED.
Valid driver's license.
Schedule may require working evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as required and/or directed.
Computer knowledge and strong communication skills.
Support the organization's mission along with sensitivity of cultural and workplace.
Ability to handle confidential information and HIPAA guidelines.
