Direct Support Professional, Day Program: Provides support services to individuals, including children, adults and elderly persons with developmental disabilities, generally on a small group or one-to-one basis in a variety of settings. Provides training opportunities designed to enhance each person's self-sufficiency in the areas of personal independence, community integration and productivity. Promotes the well being of participants and the protection of their individual rights, through the support of agency mission, vision and values. Maintains the confidentiality of participants' personal information, in accordance with legal requirements
Must be 18. HS diploma or an equivalent amount of education/experience and one year of experience preferred. Valid NYS Driver's license with no moving violations for twelve months prior to hire.
Conditions of Employment: Successful completion of mandatory training requirements within first three (3) months of hire, including, but not limited to certification in Behavior Management (SCIP-R), Lifting and other physical assistance techniques, CPR and First Aid. Medication Administration certification and Agency Driver Certification.
