Merakey is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional - PRN to join our Merakey division in Delaware County location


Position summary or overview. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • The position of Residential Direct Supports Professional is an entry level, direct care position. Under the guidance of the Program Specialist and House Supervisor the RDSP will provide for the safety and well-being of each resident within the home and facilitate community involvement/interaction in cooperation with residents, staff, consultants and administration.

  • Responsibility to residents includes: provision of framework for an enjoyable learning experience in a family setting and provision of the skills, information, guidance, supervision and training necessary to foster growth and development.

  • Toward this end, the RDSP will facilitate implementation of general and specific household and individual routine/programming while serving as a positive role model for the resident population.

  • The position requires compliance and enforcement of all established agency policies and procedures and those delineated by the State and County Regulations.


Merakey supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in the enhancement of their abilities and interests. Services are aimed at partnering with individuals as they become self-sufficient and live everyday lives.
