Summary:The Direct Support Behavioral Specialist'START works with individuals on a 1:1 basis around obstacles to achieving goals for independence. You also work in conjunction with other team members and services as needed to identify obstacles, identify potential support strategies that would help the individual manage, cope with, or overcome those obstacles, and/or implement those strategies in their lives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with START Clinicians to provide on-site support for individuals referred by

  • Based on the status/needs of the individual referred, work with the individual and team to: identify relevant goals to be addressed, assist in determining measurable outcomes for services provided, and work towards identifying possible strategies for managing or overcoming obstacles and attaining identified outcome.

  • Facilitate implementation of recommended supports by individuals support network (i.e. family/staff) through providing information, feedback, and modeling of the

  • Identify potential community-based support networks that would be relevant/helpful for the individuals

  • Provide transportation when required as part of the identified goals for the

  • Attend clinical/team meetings for assigned individuals when

  • Complete progress notes for all work done with/for assigned

  • Provide other documentation as necessary/requested.

  • Maintain updated CPR/FA certifications.

  • Attend in-service trainings and conferences as needed/appropriate.

  • Other duties as

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in related

  • Must have had at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably dually diagnosed individuals (developmental and psychiatric disabilities).

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong leadership and problem solving skills

  • Strong clinical skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral concepts and techniques

  • Ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and foster positive relationships with funding sources

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Physical Demands:

  • The employee must be able to drive a car

  • Must have a normal range of eyesight with or without corrective

  • Must have a normal range of hearing with or without corrective

About the Job As a member of the Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services (BILH BS) Program Management Office, the Project Coordinator will oversee the planning, scheduling, analytics and other tactical aspects of projects in partnership the Director of Innovation and Strategic Planning and Project Manager. This position will support BILH BS' implementing strategic initiatives and large scale projects, which directly impact and improve patient/client access to care and provider satisfaction and retention. The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating project management activities, resources, equipment and information. The Program Coordinator assists Leadership with strategic initiatives and daily operations. Responsibilities: * Participates in medium to large scope organization projects and initiatives. Types of projects include the integration of behavioral health in all employed primary care practices, the expansion of a call center for the centralization of all behavioral health beds, and support with the implementation of strategic initiatives identified in the agency strategic plan. Other system level initiatives as requested from leadership teams. * Partners with legacy institutions and divisional leadership to review BILH strategic initiates and key performance results. * Oversees all project management activities, resources, equipment and information. * Maintains and monitor project plans, budgets and expenditures and other tactical activities. Including project action items, issues and risk logs. * Creates and maintains project documentation (repository), plans and reports. * Conducts quality assurance testing to ensure standards and requirements are met. * Tracks and monitors project risks and issues via logs and provide solutions where applicable to minimize risks/issues. Reports and escalates to the Directors and key stakeholders, as needed. * Manages and ensures all project deadlines are met. Organizes, attends and participates in stakeholder meetings. * Performs complex, specialized support on strategic projects requiring independent judgement and a detailed knowledge of the programs and services provided by the agencies(s). * Actively removes any boundaries to create an environment that promotes and encourages team working across all functions. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree; or associates degrees plus a minimum of five years related experience.
