Community Living Centers (CLC) is a non-profit organization that manages in-home health care for adults with developmental disabilities. Our goal is to provide our residences with the highest standard of care. We want our residents to truly feel at home, and you can help!
CLC is looking for someone to cover a SLEEP shift. A sleep shift is one where you come into work and go to sleep. What's the catch? Because you are sleeping, you only get paid minimum wage which is $9.65/hr in Michigan. If you have to get up in the night to take care of a resident, you are paid at the normal wage of $11.00 per hour. Currently, because of COVID, all direct care workers are receiving an additional $2.25 per hour so the actual wages through at least September 30, 2021 is
Sleep - $11.90/hour ($9.65+$2.25=$11.90)
Awake - $13.25/hour ($11.00+$2.25=$13.25)
Working for us, you will have duties such as:
Helping our residents with daily care: meal prep, bathing, dressing, cleaning, etc.
Laundry
Cleaning
Grocery shopping
Set up medications
Participating in community activities
Qualifications & required training:
In order to qualify for this job, you must be:
Dependable, self-motivated, reliable
Be able to pass drug, alcohol, employment, criminal background, and motor vehicle checks
Have a high school diploma or GED
Have a valid driver's license
Be able to Lift 50 lbs

M.O.R.C/CLS/TTI
Bloodborne Pathogens
CPR/First Aid
