Direct Care Worker - 3Rd Shift Urgent

The Direct Care Worker provides assistance with activities of daily living and/or instrumental activities of daily living to consumers in accordance with the Service Authorization and/or Care Plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides assistance to assigned consumers including, but not limited to the following:

• Assistance with activities of daily living

• Assisting with ambulation, as applicable

• Assistance with nutritional and dietary needs

• Essential household duties

• Provide for safe and sanitary consumer environment

• Utilize basic infection control technique and procedures

• Provide medication reminders as directed by the Service Authorization and/or Care Plan

• Maintain consumer confidentiality

• Encourage consumer control of and promote the independent living philosophy

• Direct Care Worker shall deliver and document service to the consumer and document such service according to specific instructions from the Maxim Companion Services designee and per Maxim Companion Services policies and procedures. No changes in consumer care maybe initiated without direction from Maxim Companion Services designee. All changes in client status are to be reported to Maxim Companion Services office

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Proficiency in the English language is required

• Successful completion of the Direct Care Worker Competency orientation process required

• Current CPR Card required

• Current Health Screening (in accordance with state regulations) required

• Successful completion of PASA competency evaluation which meets the requirements of the state is required
