Job Summary:

This job is responsible for the management, coordination, delivery and evaluation of Business Health and Wellness programs at Palmetto Health. Manages implementation and evaluation of business health and wellness initiatives and services.

Coordinates delivery of services and oversees all phases of service delivery. Assists with the promotion/marketing of services.

All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Palmetto Health's values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

Develops, implements, operates, and maintains a comprehensive business health and wellness program for Palmetto Health employees and current/potential clients of Palmetto Health.

Serves as an ambassador for business health and wellness for Palmetto Health and the community.

Provides effective leadership by coordinating and integrating services within their department, with other departments and wit the hospital's primary functions.

Manages department by: determining qualifications, competence and performance expectations; implementing and monitoring staffing plans; providing orientation, in-service training and continuing education of all persons in the department and applying policies/procedures pertaining to human resources management.

Manages the environment (of care) by developing, implementing and monitoring processes to reduce and control environmental hazards and risks; preventing accidents and injuries and maintaining safe conditions for patients, staff and visitors.

Continuously assesses and improves the department's performance by designing operational processes, monitoring performance through data, analyzing the data, implementing sustainable performance improvement, and participating in multi-disciplinary inter-departmental PI activities.

Manages departmental budget including processes to monitor operational and capital costs.

Implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of the services.

Requirements:

Education: Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or Public Health required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in disease prevention, population health management, occupational health or related field. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.

Number and Type of Team Members Supervised: Varies (3-10).

Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: None

Special Training: Ability to organize, delegate and supervise others in a team manner. Ability to assume responsibility and accountability for individual health education judgments and actions including crisis situations.
