Responsibilities

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a 182-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Oakland Park neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL. FLBHC features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center.

The Director of Performance Improvement plans, coordinates, directs and carries out activities related to the facility-wide performance and quality improvement program and processes.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

• Master's degree, preferred in Psychiatric/health care field

• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent

• CPR Certification

Experience:

• A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

• Performance Improvement - Master's level, licensed professional, or RN License in the State of Florida

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of Joint Commission, country, state, and federal guidelines regarding Employee Health and Infection Control.

• Knowledge of Epidemiology and infectious diseases

• Analyses of data to improve performance, reduce risk, and provide safe and quality patient care.

• Act as an educator regarding best practice and regulatory guidelines.

• Sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices.
