POSITION SUMMARY: To negotiate fee-for-service hospital and medical group contracts for multiple lines of business in managed care markets; to maintain provider participation within the network; and to help expand and develop provider network.

Analyzes market data and financial models. Prepares and negotiates provider contracts. Develops and expands provider participation within the network.

Maintains provider participation within the network.

Monitors provider performance; implements corrective action plans. Identifies current issues and probable future issues; guides staff through resolution.

Documents contracts; updates contracts as changes occur. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree SPECIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience five (5) years of progressive provider network contract negotiation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience in a healthcare management environment including provider contracting, servicing and benefit interpretation preferred. Two (2) years supervisory experience preferred. Skills & Knowledge Strong project management skills Excellent negotiation skills Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills PC literate, including Microsoft Office products Leadership/management/ motivational skills Analytical and interpretive skills Strong organizational skills Must have hospital based experience, ACO, Populations Health, Managed Care, Value Based Contracting experience

VIEW JOBS 1/24/2019 4:00:54 AM 2019-04-24T04:00 POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the integrity and maintenance of the Charge Description Master within the health system. This key individual will identify departments and services where revenue enhancement opportunities exist and coordinate an infrastructure to report on variances and trends. They will manage complex reimbursement and charging initiatives with department directors at the two hospitals. They will oversee the integrity of the charging process with an emphasis in the Cardiac Catheter Labs, Interventional Radiology, Observation and Emergency Departments. They will analyze the use of the coding and net revenue systems for lost revenue, pricing, charging compliance and revenue integrity. They will develop tools designed to track and quantify lost and recovered revenue related to the Chargemaster, and review and facilitate the charging structure of revenue-generating departments to assure that charges are accurate and timely and reflect services, and supplies provided. They will make recommendations on charge increases with consideration of improving reimbursement from all payers. In addition, they will coordinate with relevant departments to assist with the management of clinical documentation in order to drive a high standard of clinical quality and contribute to the organization?s overall financial performance. This position also will aim to maximize operational efficiency by supporting staff functions. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have Graduate Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field Licensure/Certification/Registration: ? RN ? CCA/CCS credentials or equivalent Special Skills and Experience: ? Minimum 5 years? experience in a hospital setting as a clinician, 2 years proven training experience, and a minimum of 3 years hospital chart audit experience. ? Minimum 3-5 years supervisory and management experience in a hospital setting. ? Extensive knowledge of current healthcare trends, policies and regulations. ? Understanding of coding classification systems such as ICD-10-CM, ICD-9-CM, MS-DRG, APR-DRG, and HCC strongly preferred. ? Competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to complex business challenges. ? Strong leadership skills and commitment to a collaborative team approach ?
