Reporting to the Senior Director of Supplier Partnerships accountable for integrated supply chain management and Procurement supporting the $5B Electronic Systems (ES) Sector which is comprised of approximately $2B+ of direct/indirect procurement.

The ES Sector spans 25 locations primarily in the United States and the United Kingdom. The primary responsibilities of this role include supply chain technical engagement, procurement, subcontracts, supply chain planning and logistics.

Both Direct and Indirect Commodity strategies are led Sector wide with execution distributed through seven Business Areas.

The challenges in this role include

  • Maintaining our procurement systems and processes to be compliant with complex regulatory requirements governing both our commercial avionics and defense electronics businesses.

  • Lead the indirect procurement teams across the Sector to support all of the required needs of the business

  • Responsible for managing the small business team to ensure we are compliant to all Government small business requirements.

  • Manage the Operations proposal group to ensure are proposal support business area timelines and we submit fully compliant proposals

Provide overall supply chain support to the Sector as part of the Deputy Director role.


  • Focal Point role. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to yield strategic outsourcing solutions

  • Extensive experience in Government DoD procurement compliance, overall knowledge of supply chain and how it operates in both commercial and defense contract environments, production and development programs, subcontracts, and procurement

  • Excellent relationship / interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to foster and grow relationships with supplier executives

  • Industry knowledge of Aerospace & Defense supply chain


  • Strategically-oriented

  • Engineering support experience

  • Left - shifting supply chain's involvement in program activities


  • Process development and maintenance for a large scale defense contractor

  • Ability to quickly grasp BAE Systems Operations processes and capabilities
