This is a Statewide role. Associate must reside or relocate to Northern CA.
Walnut Creek, San Francisco, Rancho Cordova. This is not a remote location position
Responsible for directing sales and/or account management retention and client servicing activities for the company's medical and specialty products. This position will manage a team within California Strategic Accounts that supports and services our largest California based customers that have between 5,000 and 200,000 members.
Directs, coordinates, and streamlines all account service activities. Typically in Commercial Business/Local Group. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provides leadership and strategic direction to ensure profitable growth of in-force clients, including all aspects of service for these customers. Develops and motivates staff to achieve common goals that include retaining 100% of customers; upselling specialty, clinical programs, pharmacy and stop loss; process improvement around coordination with internal stakeholders that support these customers and exceeding all departmental client stewardship requirements. Reports to a State President of RVP/Staff VP Sales.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. The ideal candidate will have strong managerial leadership and motivational skills, a desire to be both internal and external facing in the market, highly detailed and process oriented and have a strong understanding of what it takes to provide legendary account management services.
Requires a BA/BS; 8 years of professional/leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Excellent managerial and leadership skills required.
