River Park Hospital is seeking a full-time opportunity as a Director of Housekeeping over the Huntington and Barboursville campuses.
River Park Hospital, a 165-bed facility and a leader in behavioral health care, located in Huntington, WV. River Park provides acute inpatient services to children, adolescents, adults and seniors and features a 22-bed residential treatment program for children and adolescents and a 25-bed adult forensic unit. River Park was recently recognized as a Top Performer by Joint Commission and maintains the highest standards for quality care.
Job Description:
Responsible for the cleaning of all patient and ancillary areas in the hospital, gymnasium, grounds, and other properties operated by River Park Hospital.
Essential Core Functions:
Management of Housekeeping Department:
Responsible for all aspects of housekeeping and the direct supervision of all housekeepers.
Ability to interview and make hiring recommendations to the Human Resources Department.
Knowledge of company policies and ability to administrator progressive disciplinary actions.
Responsible for completion of all employee performance evaluations - both 90 day and annual evaluations.
Ability to manage FTEs per company policy.
Ensuring Housekeepers have Specific Knowledge and Duties of:
Consistency in cleaning assigned areas and willingness to assist and perform job tasks other than those assigned to increase quality of operation of the department.
Operates all equipment in a safe manner. Reports all hazardous conditions and equipment to supervisor.
Ability to restock clean linen and pull dirty linen in assigned areas, keep laundry washed, dried, and folded. Maintain linen inventory level to align with census.
Ability to complete weekly checklist and track supplies for ordering purposes.
Attends and participates in all mandatory in-services and training.
Accepts work assignments with professional and positive attitude.
Completes all tasks and duties accurately and timely within assigned timeframe.
Manage as administrator the on-line SCS program to ensure product accessibility and employee access.
Back up the Director of Plant Operations for managing the Work Order System when needed.
Work closely with the Infection Control/Risk Manager Nurse to meet necessary I/C issues for patients and staff.
Assist the Safety Officer with approval of the CFO in responsibilities related to EOC Fire Safety and Disaster Drill planning that can be coordinated to assist the facility in meeting requirements.
Assist in ensuring truck receiving (i.e. Fed Ex, UPS, etc.) is completed timely ensuring package delivery availability to receive when possible coordinated with AP/Purchasing.

Qualifications
Job Specifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, or five or more years of experience in Environmental Services may substitute.
A minimum of five years housekeeping experience and one year of supervisory experience is required. General maintenance experience preferred. Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Valid driver's license.
