Role overview

As the Dir, Clinical Solutions Consultant, reporting to the VP Pre Sales, you will be an integral part of the sales process, assisting sales as the subject matter expert to present Accolade clinical services to help secure new business. You will participate in discovery sessions, capabilities sessions, and finalist visits to deliver value-based customer presentations and demonstrations illustrating the competitive differentiation of the Accolade solution (both member services and clinical) to drive customer success. The Principal Solutions Consultant Clinical is responsible for supporting the sales team in meeting targets through executing a business driven sales methodology that links our solutions with the prospects business drivers.

A day in the life…

  • Collaborate with sales teams to assess and qualify customer needs, actively contributing throughout the sales cycle to acquire strategic customers

  • Advising and strategizing in the sales efforts by defining the client's needs, understanding current solution abilities and providing recommendations on identified gaps.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our product offerings, staying up to date with the latest advancements in AI and generative AI technologies.

  • Ability to speak about the clinical benefits of the deep technology Accolade uses.

  • Monitor trends, advancements, and competitive landscape within the AI and healthtech sectors. Partner with Product, Tech and Solutions Management to design and develop AI-based solutions that address customer needs and align with our strategic objectives.

  • Analyze market trends and competitor offerings, providing insights that enhance our pre-sales strategies.

  • Work with Product team in identifying features and gaps needed to meet customer needs.

  • Participate in prospective customer internal and external site visits.

  • Travel 25-50% of the time for meetings with customers and partners

  • Participate in customer requests for information on RFIs and RFP

  • Partner with Solutions Marketing to create external clinical and/or technical messaging, then assist in training field members to the appropriate level on knowledge they need before bringing in a clinical resource.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in Accolade solutions, clinical programs and/or technology during pre-sales engagements, leveraging market insights and competitor analysis to enhance meeting strategies and external messaging.

  • Ability to interpret customer behavior during presentations, and adjusting the commentary to align with client requirements, and make informed decision-making during the pre-sales process.

  • Collaborate with Sales team to craft compelling presentations tailored to diverse client audiences.

  • Build strong relationships with clients and business partners, forecasting challenges and opportunities to ensure consistent success.

  • Mentor team members, provide technical leadership, and aim for the highest level of client satisfaction, meeting Accolade's Bar of Excellence.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and participate in onsite customer visits showcasing the office environment and culture, using them as platforms to engage potential clients.

  • Understand, research, create and present clinical scenarios

  • Ability to become well versed in clinical programs and present it to prospects/customers.

  • Travel 25-35% for meetings with prospects, customers and partners; as well as some internal sales meetings/trainings.

What we are looking for…

  • BSN ; MBA or Masters desired.

  • Possess a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, Accolade's service model,

  • Subject matter expert in how clinical solutions drive outcomes.

  • 6-8 years experience in corporate setting preferably in healthcare

  • Advanced and in-depth knowledge of Accolade service model or Advocacy in the health care industry

  • Superior skills in relationship building, active listening, needs analysis, solution design and win-win negotiating.

  • Demonstrates strong presentation skills and a solutions and service orientation.

  • Ability to manage, process and apply large quantities of information quickly and accurately.

  • Proven leadership and organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-starter with strong problem solving ability.

  • Ability to influence and grow relationships in a matrixed environment.

  • Demonstrated market and industry knowledge.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
