Dir, Business Development, Clinical Networks
The role is critical to Change Healthcare's growth strategy of working with EMR companies to build relationships focused on clinical initiatives. This executive will be help define and execute the market penetration strategy for specific business opportunities, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Clinical Networks. Change Healthcare has a long history of leading the healthcare industry through its national footprint and financial, administrative and clinical transaction networks. Change Healthcare's strong leadership position among various health care segments provides the company with an opportunity to lead with transformational solutions addressing the EMR markets.
The leader will work with EMRs around their clinical oriented business needs that can be supported by CHC's core assets and drive internal teams to deliver on those needs. The role requires a high level of leadership, teamwork, critical reasoning and intellectual horsepower to pivot when needed, while setting a strategic course for growth. The successful candidate will be adept in working through ambiguity and managing complex teams. Results in the partnering with EMRs will have a large impact on the overall Change Healthcare business, as well as the Network Solutions business overall.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record as a leader, BD innovator and operator. He/she will understand the key business drivers required to create alignment with EMRs and within the organization, while bringing innovation and new strategies for growth. The leader will bring a track record of creating new partnerships, possess the ability to codify a strategy, and build external and internal partnerships, necessary to deliver on the partnership goals. Further development of the right hypotheses to drive resolution of problem areas, while creating and implementing the right plan for change, will be critical to success.
Provide overall strategy and BD leadership for several BD initiatives.
Formulate business strategy, financial plans and execution plans for the initiatives.
Expand product offerings, generate additional revenue opportunities, improve the customer experience and enhance the infrastructure by leveraging existing and new technologies.
Provide end-to-end thought leadership, insight and influence around Change Healthcare's enterprise-wide strategy. Help identify and exploit synergies and market opportunities for Change Healthcare.
Collaborate with the broader Network Solutions business. Effectively work across the matrix to shepherd the mindset and cultural shift needed to create new and innovative solutions.
Build and manage strategic vendor relationships. Develop and maintain relationships with external contacts.
Recommend and champion BD strategies and tactics designed to positively impact key drivers, such as price, bookings, revenue and market share goals are achieved.
Build for the future and provide strong leadership; oversee talent plans and strategies to attract, motivate and retain a diverse, qualified and engaged team to fulfill current and future business needs.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities and manage productivity metrics and efficiencies.
Must be able to travel 40-50%
10 years+ of increasing executive responsibility in the capacity of EMR partnerships and Business development.
Strong knowledge and background within the EMR space
Experience in delivering BD results through partnerships, strategic sales and high velocity sales process.
Experience building and leading new solutions within a medium to large size healthcare organization.
A demonstrated ability to develop and execute integrated strategies that capture opportunities across businesses and drive profitable growth.
Thorough experience identifying and addressing client needs; developing and sustaining deep client relationships.
Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills, including effective reporting of BD opportunities, issues and performance.
BD Management and Innovation:
This leader will have the BD leadership and innovation skills to develop the strategic vision for the BD initiatives and execute on the quota plans. He/she will drive the process of strategically assessing and developing BD strategies. A leader with the ability and passion to drive rapid growth, who is always mindful of the bottom-line impact of recommended strategies. Well-organized and rigorous in prioritization of issues and projects and implements only those business strategies that add real customer, economic and strategic value. He/she will drive thought leadership and innovation by leveraging deep knowledge of the partner eco-system and relationships.
This leader will use the wisdom of his/her prior experience to drive effective BD performance while continuing to enhance a strong foundation for growing the business. Ideally, the new leader will have experience introducing state-of-the-art. He/she will be attentive to operational and financial details and establish clear expectations; set aggressive, but realistic, objectives; and bring multiple parties together to deliver exceptional results.
