Job Description:

Description: The Director of Business Development and Provider Relations identifies, researches and develops Acclaim's strategic plans in order to achieve business opportunities, growth and financial stability. This position will serve as a project lead for multiple strategic initiatives. The Director of Business Development will also manage areas to promote improvement in provider relations and revenue growth.

Typical Duties:

  • Works closely with senior leadership to assess, plan, and execute on new and innovative growth opportunities.

  • Identifies and develops strategic initiatives that will enable long term growth and financial stability.

  • Develops strategies to grow programs/service lines.

  • Establishes analytical framework and conducts complex business analyses. Conducts external research, data gathering and analysis. Collects and analyzes market data. Conducts financial analysis and creates pro-forma financial modeling.

  • Establishes well supported solutions with specific recommendations that will enable the executive management team to make critical decisions.

  • Develops and drives these opportunities from identification and business development through early stage execution. Transitions and manages these handoffs to operational teams.

  • Simultaneously leads multiple projects and initiatives that may have many internal and external dependencies, complex scope, higher levels of risk and involves cross-functional highly matrix areas.

  • Applies Lean Six Sigma tools or other continuous improvement methodologies to complex business processes and implements solutions which provide positive performance and financial impacts. Performs cost-benefit evaluation for all assigned projects to define potential financial, business, and industry improvements.

  • Facilitates with multiple teams; including the collection, dissemination, and organization of meeting tools, data, and assignments.

  • Works with the Provider Liaison to develop and implement action plans for achieving physician engagement with the hospital.

  • Develops strategies based on organizational reviews and feedback.

  • Develops strategic documents, such as: communication plans, detailed project plans, and project updates/presentations.

  • Directs and coordinates all media/branding relations functions; including the Acclaim website.

  • Maintains awareness and recommends emerging industry trends.

  • Develops Acclaim's Provider Liaison and Senior Revenue Analyst by defining roles/responsibilities and expectations, assigning and communicating performance and promoting professional growth and accountability. Assists the Provider Liaison and Senior Revenue Analyst in communicating and aligning work priorities with the organizational vision, mission, values, and service standards.

  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, communications, or other related field.

  • Seven (7) plus years of experience in process improvement, quality and analysis.

  • Experience in physician services business development and strategic planning.

  • Proven experience in provider relations and engagement.
    Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Health Administration.

  • Proven experience in process improvement, leading projects with a record of successful implementation.
    Preferred Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification/Project Management Institute (PMI).

This position will support service excellence and ensure maximized efficiencies and profitability while providing quick responses to the group's clinical coverage needs. The Director of Provider Recruitment and Compensation will have responsibility for recruitment, selection and engaging in employment agreements and other contracts and arrangements with Providers (herein globally acknowledged as "Provider Transactions"), including but not limited to, professional or management service agreements, medical directorships, hospital-based physicians, joint ventures, on-call arrangements or leases. Typical Duties: * Ensures that all provider transactions comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws pertaining to the recruitment, selection and engaging in employment agreements, contracts and arrangements for physician services. (i.e., professional or management service agreements, medical directorships, hospital-based physicians, joint ventures, on-call arrangements or leases).
