The Dining Services Manager assists the Director of Dining Services by delegating duties in an effective manner to the dining team
Pay starts at $20 - $25/hour, with the opportunity to earn more based on experience
Maintains and trains co-workers to adhere to recipes, follow food production schedules, clean according to standard sanitation practices and focus on serving high quality meals. Orders, receives, schedules co-workers and rotates stock in conjunction with Director. Maintains team spirit within the kitchen, encouraging cooperation among co-workers. In the absence of the Director, provides overall management of the dining services team. Other relevant duties may be required of assigned by management.
Schedule is 11 am to 7 pm (includes working every other weekend and holiday) and 9 am to 5 pm (on delivery days).

Dining Services Manager Responsibilities:
Maintains production records, reviews recipes and holds daily production meetings with culinary team.
Controls and maintains sufficient inventory
As necessary, prepares, cooks, and presents meals on time to satisfy residents needs
Maintains high standards of sanitation and cleanliness as it applies to the Mock Survey process, QMI and regulatory controls.
Gives input on new menu items and recipes
Ensures that new co-workers get proper training in food preparation, equipment operation, and knowledge of general cleaning and sanitation procedures.
Monitors temperature and cleaning logs on a daily and monthly basis.
Can create, manage and maintain co-worker schedules.
Makes frequent decisions throughout the day on cooking and service schedules.
Dining Services Manager Requirements:
Two years of cooking experience, prior food service experience preferably in Senior Living and experience with supervising dining coworkers.
Experience in quantity cooking, scheduling, inventory control, and purchasing.
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Must have a National Sanitation Certificate or be willing to complete a National Sanitation Course within six months of hire.
