POSITION: Dining Services Assistant

LOCATION: NDSCS-Wahpeton

WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: Anyone eligible to work in the United States

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Part-time, temporary, non-benefited position

JOB SUMMARY: Support all duties related to dining operations including prepping, cooking, and serving menu items; cleaning, and sanitation; and cashiering while ensuring the highest quality service and experience for customers.

Primary regular duties assigned. Must be willing to cross-train and support other duties as needed.

SALARY: $15 per hour ($10,260 - $12,060 annually)

Required Competencies

  • Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience in dining services/restaurant operations

  • Knowledge of cleanliness, quality, and sanitation standards in food service

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Willingness to support and work in a variety of roles as needed

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Ability to work independently and as a team

  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Food safety certification

  • 3+ years of experience in restaurant or cafeteria food service

  • Previous experience operating a cash register
