What will you be doing as a Dining Service Production Coordinator?

  • Assist in leading a complex, fast paced, high volume, well equipped kitchen.

  • Serve as working supervisor for the dining court in both front and back of the house.

  • Maintain service and production standards.

  • Help determine the daily work load, making daily assignments, and overseeing the work of all cooks and kitchen personnel.

  • Preparation and presentation of a variety of hot and cold foods using a variety of preparation methods.

  • Evaluate finished products to ensure quality and addressing sub-quality production and presentation.

  • Implement solutions in collaboration with Executive Sous Chef.

  • Provide functional supervision of hourly and student staff.

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED.

  • Four years of Hospitality Service experience

  • ServSafe certified or have the ability to become certified within first year

  • Ability to read, write, weigh, and measure

  • A passion for food and the culinary art

  • Stable work history with a good attendance record

  • Ability to perform basic math functions, lift and move up to 40 pounds, climb ladders, and stand, walk, reach and stoop extensively

  • Ability to plan and meet both short term and long term goals

  • Knowledge of sanitation requirements

  • Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, processing orders, and e-mail

  • Teamwork, particularly with individuals from different viewpoints and backgrounds

  • Ability to meet daily deadlines

Preferred:

  • Supervisory experience

  • Experience in a high volume, fast paced environment

Additional Information:

  • The hours for this operation rotating days, nights, and weekends.
