Position: Dim & Re-Weigh Administrator

Job Description:

Forward Air is seeking capable and career-oriented individuals to work in our fast-paced shipping/dock operation. Our Dim & Re-Weigh Administrator's will be responsible for analyzing and organizing dock operations and procedures such as removing debris, measuring freight, weighing freight, and other dock support services.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Dim and re-weigh freight

• Oversee the cleanliness of the dock area, including ensuring that cleaning supplies are available, cleaning supplies are in good working order

• Ensure dim and reweigh procedures are followed

• Maximize productivity through proficient use of appropriate cleaning, dim & reweigh techniques

• Establish uniform procedures and style practices

• Create and maintain proper work habits for dock operations

• Maintain contact with managers, ensuring high level of communication

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment while delivering quality and efficiency

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment

• Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime as needed

• Experience working in a transportation dock environment a plus

• General computer skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook, AS400

• Must be 18 or older

Skills:

• The ideal candidate will possess a "can do" attitude with a "will do" work ethic

• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with AS400 operating systems is a plus

• Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus
