This is project manager position within our DT&M servicearea where we are focused on delivering IT Strategy and Architectureengagements, delivering large scale transformation projects and helping ourclients with digital transformation. Thepractice is a national group covering financial services, consumer products,healthcare and manufacturing.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Perform engagement management responsibilities,including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, projectfinancials, quality review and client management
Assist practice leadership in creating proposals,budgets, and work plans.
Participate in other business development activitiesas appropriate
Meet or exceed sales targets for new andfollow-on work
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours(utilization)
Maintain a good working relationship with clientsand work effectively with client management and staff at all levels to gatherinformation and perform services
Work closely with Grant Thornton managers andpartners to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issues
Communicate (verbally and in writing) externallywith clients and internally with all levels of the organization to successfullyaccomplish objectives portraying knowledge and confidence
Otherduties as assigned
2-6 years of related work experience in a similarconsulting practice or function, servicing Healthcare clients at a nationallevel, or relevant experience/demonstrated excellence working in PMO or IT/IS departmentof a Healthcare System
Experience with Merger Integration,IT Strategy, IT Integration/Interoperability, IT Architecture, EnterpriseArchitecture, IT Deployment
Certification in relevant softwaremodules (Epic, Cerner, Soarian, SAP, Infor Lawson, etc)
PMP certification, in pursuit orinterest in pursuing preferred
Experience leading strategicinitiatives preferred
Experience in an Agile/Lean environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment and drivetowards project goals
Ability to balance several projects/initiativesat once
Prior relevant consulting experience preferred
Ability to work additional hours and/or travel asneeded, 80-100% travel expected
