Digital Tech/Retoucher

• This position will work in between two offices - Beverly Hills and Commerce, CA.

OVERVIEW

The ideal candidate should be highly organized, possess excellent time management and communication skills, and thrive in a collaborative and creative team environment. We are seeking an individual with an in-depth understanding of the Alo brand, customer base, and the translation of this understanding into the visual aesthetic and mood of product photography on the website. The ideal candidate should have a passionate interest in on-model and still-life product photography, stay updated on current fashion trends, and excel in a fast-paced, highly organized studio environment. Digital Tech / Retoucher will play a key role in both photography and technical aspects. This role involves overseeing the capturing all still-life web product photography, including footwear, soft goods, accessories, and apparel items on mannequin. In addition to on-set responsibilities, this position will collaborate on set with the E-commerce Art Director and photographers to manage digital assets while shooting, narrow down edits, make final image selections for the website, and ensure proper image preparation for the post-production team. The Digi Tech / Retoucher is also responsible handling mid to high level retouching, alongside the in-house post production team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Photography of all still-life web photography, including footwear, soft goods, accessories, and apparel items both flat and on mannequin.

• Perform digital tech duties during on-model shoot days, ensuring proper capture, labeling, and foldering of incoming images.

• Collaborate with the E-commerce Art Director and photographers to narrow shoot edits and make final image selections for site readiness.

• Ensure a high level of consistent technical quality and aesthetics for all photography by following established shoot guides and processes.

• Work collaboratively with the E-commerce Art Director, photographers, and stylists to capture unique features and qualities of each product, representing the Alo brand.

• Coordinate with stylists and production to ensure an efficient pace of shoot days, meeting weekly projections and deadlines.

• Communicate efficiently with the post-production and web production team for optimized photography asset handoffs and live dates of products on the site.

• Assist photographer with lighting and set changes as required.

• Mid to high level retouching abilities, to assist the in-house post production team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in still life and flat photography, with on-model photography strongly preferred.

• Strong digital photography, lighting, and compositional skills.

• Proficiency in Capture One Pro, Mac OS X, and Adobe Creative Cloud Applications.

• Mid to high level retouching capabilities, with a keen eye for color.

• Proficient knowledge with Profoto, Aputure, Canon and Mac systems.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - 130,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees.
