The Global PowerSolutions Division has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Technology Manager in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a Digital Project Leader at Caterpillar, youwill be working with development managers to handle requests for development,grooming the backlog and prioritizing user stories for planning sprints.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising a team that aligns and executes with the strategic direction, tool/platform selection, development and management, process management and governance, best practice creation and documentation, measurement and

analytics, and supporting integration with other online platforms to ensure proper customer journeys and experience in the Caterpillar digital space.

  • Supervising a team that manages IT infrastructure hardware and supporting services including. Aligning and developing the Information Security Management System to ISO 27001/2, GDPR, and Caterpillar enterprise procedures, and ensuring compliance to such in the execution of daily tasks by the team.

  • Running regular checks on network and data security

  • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems

  • Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation

  • Designing training programs and workshops for staff

  • Conducting regular system audits

  • Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff

  • Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages

  • Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget

  • Providing direction for IT team members

  • Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement

  • Collaborating with a team of web designers, business analysts, content managers, digital marketers, software developers and/or suppliers who create and manage the high velocity digital platforms (cloud, web, mobile, etc.), tools, processes and related services: which provide enablement (how) and accessibility (self-serve) on appropriate eBusiness tools, processes and templates to both internal (BUs & DSDs) and external partners (dealers and marketing partners) in order to effectively and quickly execute and measure marketing efforts and is responsible for conveying a consistent brand image

that attracts customers and drives sales of parts, work tools, solutions, or prime product on the Web.

  • Executing (and/or enable) aspects of the online sales capabilities including: alignment to the customer experience, input into business planning, executes content strategy, translations, promotional campaigns, website design, web analytics, web commerce platforms and delivery of committed service level agreements.

  • Supervising the staff and projects related to developing business and technical solutions and implementing common operating procedures to provide process functionality and the requisite infrastructure to enable effective, efficient,

economical services. Directs implementation of hardware and software infrastructure components to maximize common process and minimize costs by efficiently controlling the infrastructure environment.

  • Supporting the Digital strategy, software factory, and external facing Cat Customer Portal/Hub. Incumbent recognizes the service requirements/needs of dealers and customers, corporate and business unit goals, and gives input to leadership in formulating global concepts, strategies and plans to deliver service solutions

  • You and your team will support an online commerce and customer e-procurement for any product that Caterpillar or its Dealer elects to sell through an online channel.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in computer science, information systems, engineering or related field
  • 5 years of progressively complex digital experience generally gained through staff supervisory assignments in Marketing, Brand, and/or Information Services.

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Experience with Scaled Agile utilizing DevOps methodologies.

  • General understanding of basic business operations including the technical infrastructure and one or more of the following: general business processes, strong marketing acumen, and business unit marketing experience and dealer

processes.

  • Must have a strong customer focus, possess dealer and customer experience, knowledge of company products, product applications, and customer workflow related to Purchase, Operate, and Support processes.

  • Must have ability to provide strategic direction for effectively managing staff, budgets, business plans, one-year project plans and developing 2-5 year plans with customers and IS.

  • Ability to work with diversified departments within larger service centers and larger business units along with effective oral and written communications skills.
