During your internship at Arup, you'll have the chance to work with some of the most highly respected engineers and specialists in the world. Responsibilities of this specific role will include, but not be limited to the following:
Design of IT and communications infrastructure for the built environment including structured cabling systems, local area networks, wireless/radio systems, voice systems, security systems, audiovisual systems, airport systems, and transit systems
Consult on smart buildings, smart cities, and global portfolios
Work on projects using the latest modeling and design tools, such as Revit
Give structure to ideas and collaborate with professionals to solve client challenges
Work with people from other disciplines and/or vendors to gain knowledge on new subjects
Progress from developing expertise with built environment design tools to becoming a consultant to Fortune 100 organizations
Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Computer Engineering, or similar engineering discipline
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment
3.0 GPA or higher
EIT/ FE Certification
Master's Degree welcomed
Experience with modern software development
Internship experience within A/E/C industry or IT consulting firm
Experience with: AutoCAD, Revit, 3D modeling skills (Navis, etc.)
