Plan, develop and implement social media strategies; manage social media platforms; develop creative content for digital and print applications; enhance photography; assist with programming and implementation of departmental and school events; promote events on-and -off campus. Answer phones, greet visitors, make photocopies, scan documents, maintain clean and orderly public spaces, stock and organize supply cabinets, other duties as assigned.
Advanced proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop as evidenced by portfolio attached
Experience in typography and visual art, as evidenced by portfolio attached
Experience managing personal or professional social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) as evidenced in application material or from previous work experience
Ability to manage workflow for several simultaneous projects as evidenced by previous work experience
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with Hootsuite or similar social media management platforms
At least one year's experience in an office environment answering phones, making photocopies, etc.
Ability to interact frequently with the public
Experience in photography and video editing
Ability to work at a minimum of 10 hours per week, Monday-Friday during regular business hours
