Job Description:
3M is seeking a Digital Solutions Lead for the Corporate Research Systems Laboratory located in Maplewood, Minnesota. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.

Job Summary:

You've excelled at systems design and systems engineering leadership in your current or recent industry position. You're looking for more - you want a new challenge, a challenge to drive the creation of new products and new business offerings using the latest in IoT, AI and related digital product concepts. You'd like to work within a startup and agile atmosphere and leverage the expansive data capabilities of the cloud. The person hired for the position of Digital Solutions Lead will work with 3M product divisions to enable the definition and delivery of digital solution products using corporate research technology and software platforms.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Collaborate with 3M product divisions and corporate research to define products and structure system content leveraging corporate digital technology

  • Facilitate creation of prioritized product backlog across teams to develop cohesive systems and to extend digital cloud platforms

  • Drive/support multiple teams in coordinated delivery of prioritized content

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Minimum three (3) years of combined experience in software, hardware development and integration, and/or technical project management within a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in electronics, software, computer science, math, systems, physics, or related field

  • Demonstrated understanding of systems design and development

  • Strong customer listening skills, requirements prioritization experience, project leadership/decision making strength, program management experience

  • Experience leading technical delivery from engineering development teams within multi-site, cross-functional programs

  • Agile development experience, e.g. Certified Product Owner, Certified Scrum Master.

Location: Maplewood, Minnesota

Travel: May include up to 20% domestic

Relocation: Is authorized
