Senior Digital Academic Designer/Editor

Your Contribution To The Team Includes

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of elementary (PreK-5) Reading/Language Arts pedagogical issues and/or strong Digital development and production background

  • Ability to create, visualize, and layout content for various delivery formats and classroom settings

  • Highly organized, goal-oriented, and collaborative

  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery

  • Excellent communication skills with strong verbal and writing and presentation proficiency

  • Displays and acts with initiative, integrity, and professionalism

What You'll Need To Be Successful

  • Subject matter expertise in Reading/Language Arts and English Language Development for primary grades, including foundational skills (phonological/phonemic awareness, phonics, structural analysis, word automaticity, fluency)

  • Ability to create and visualize content for various delivery formats and classroom settings

  • Highly organized, goal-oriented, and collaborative with ability to mentor and lead a small team of Academic Designers

  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery

  • 5 years of editorial experience

  • Teaching experience an advantage

  • Extensive understanding of standards, including CCSS the framework, curriculum development against CCSS, alignment and assessment development across numerous states for customization, as well as the ability to unpack various state standards and analyze the vertical alignment of standards across grades, Prek-3.

  • Displays and acts with initiative, integrity, and professionalism

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, which include a thorough command of the English language, spelling, writing, and grammar and a strong attention to detail

  • Effective organizational and time management skills; productive, efficient work habits and the ability to prioritize, multitask, and exhibit flexibility

  • Diverse computer skills, expert-level in MS Office suite, proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and K4/InCopy markup

  • Working knowledge of eLearning and digital object editing tools, HTML and CMS (Content Management Systems) a plus

Provide hands-on Product Design; establish design direction/concepts and deliverables.2. Demonstrate proven experience with successful multi-platform designs and project delivery.3. Requirements * 3+ years of experience as UX Designer or Product Designer within a large-scale consumer facing organization, agency or multi-platform product company.* Experience designing multi-platform apps and connected product experiences.* BA Degree or higher in Product Design, Interactive Design, and/or User Centric Design.* Experience in iOS, Android and Connected TV Platforms is required.* Experience with 10ft, VUI, Connected and Multi-Modal Product Design Systems is a PLUS.* Expertise in Sketch, InVision Tools, Adobe Suite and rapid prototyping are required.* Working experience with Principal, Story, and Atomic Design methods are important.* Experience working in Agile and Matrixed organizations.* Education in Interaction Design, HCI, UX Architecture, and/or Product Design required. * Online portfolio demonstrating broad skills, versatile aesthetic, high-end customer facing experiences, with expertise in design principles, thinking and usability.
