Digital Provenance Subject Matter Expert (Sme)

Oneida Professional Services (OPS) is actively seeking a highly motivated, full-time Digital Provenance Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Fort Meade, MD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with instructional designers to develop a comprehensive course curriculum on digital provenance for DoD professional communicators.

• Provide expertise in digital provenance principles, methodologies, and technologies to ensure course content is accurate, relevant, and engaging.

• Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends, case studies, and best practices in digital provenance for inclusion in course materials.

• Work closely with stakeholders and end-users to gather feedback and continuously improve course content and delivery methods.

• Assist in the evaluation and assessment of course effectiveness through knowledge checks, surveys, and performance metrics.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in digital forensics, cybersecurity, or information management.

• Proficiency in digital forensics tools and techniques for analyzing digital artifacts and metadata.

• Strong understanding of data integrity, authentication, and validation principles.

• Experience with digital provenance techniques such as blockchain, cryptographic hashing, and metadata analysis.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.

• Certifications in digital forensics, cybersecurity, or information management (e.g., CISSP, EnCE, CISA).

• Experience working in government contracting or with federal agencies.

• Familiarity with digital provenance standards and frameworks such as W3C PROV and PREMIS.
