The Digital Product Manager on the Digital Payments and Lending team is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.


  • Deliver against ambitious business objectives

  • Provide platform, product, and customer experience leadership in a fast-paced environment

  • Engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design and develop innovative financial platform products

  • Responsible for the overall vision, technical capabilities and roadmap of the digital product platform

  • Engage with businesses and shape business and product requirements in to platform requirements

  • Own the overall platform business plans and roadmaps

  • Drive product development for new initiatives

  • Make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market

  • Maintain the product roadmap, and clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes throughout the company

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


  • 6-10 years of experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Business Management/Engineering

  • Advanced degree

  • Experience leading digital initiatives

  • Extensive experience working with engineers and developers to understand what is technically possible, how to translate customer needs

  • Strategic, results-driven leader who is passionate about designing best-in-class digital experiences and staying at the forefront of cutting edge technology in the servicing space

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams


  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

The US Equity Derivatives Tech group is a small team based in New York that is responsible for building and supporting key applications that service the Structured Products Desks (US and Global). This is a significant undertaking and high profile in nature and as such we are looking for a senior Technologist with hands-on experience managing Structured Equity Derivatives projects and designing and delivering end to end solutions. Purpose of the Job: * The successful candidate undertaking this role will join the Structured Equity Derivatives team as a senior technical/product lead running a global delivery team to design, develop, test, release and support the US Wealth Programme as well as the US Structured Equity Derivatives Trading Desk. * This role is business-facing and places a high degree of emphasis on service delivery, operations and relationship management. This will require engagement with internal IT teams and business units to ensure stakeholders are receiving excellent levels of application based service Responsible for: * The evolution of key software components used by the Structured Equity Derivatives business in conjunction with the business Product Owner. This will be across the full lifecycle of Structured Notes management. * The management of delivery of highly technically competent and globally dispersed engineers to fulfil the evolution of the software component Major Challenges: * The main challenge is to be able to operate in a highly dynamic and pressurised environment where high-quality, innovative software solutions are needed rapidly to support an ever-evolving business. * Additionally, as a global business with trading desks in four main locations and with the IT team also distributed in a number of regions, excellent communication skills and the ability to cooperate well in a team are essential. ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS * The candidate must have a rich background in Investment Banking with a particular focus on Structured Equity Derivatives. * Excellent analysis, design and development skills. Able to lead a team in an Agile environment within a Dev-Ops framework. Able to evangelise Agile working practices. * Demonstrable track record of delivery with quick release cycle and established continuous integration processes. * Able to drive a team forward but also be able to roll up his or her sleeves and drive the programme forwards. * Experience in running globally dispersed teams.
