About Gray Digital Media (GDM):

The Gray Spanish Digital Content Center provides local, national, entertainment, trending, and international news coverage for our local television stations and associated brands. This position will operate out of our WSMV-TV Studios.

Job Summary/Description:

Gray Television seeks a local Digital News Content Producer to produce Tennessee-based news content in Spanish.

The successful candidate will work with the Spanish Digital Content Center, which distributes content to our Spanish stations' websites in more than 40 markets across the U.S. Ideal candidates will be able to respond to each local and national news coverage in real time. Working well with a team and digital/email communication skills are essential, and the successful candidate must demonstrate strong writing skills in Spanish and news judgment. The job location will be in Nashville, TN.

The successful applicant also will have these attributes:

• Excellent writing and copy-editing abilities in Spanish in adherence with AP Style guidelines.

• Knowledge and understanding of the Hispanic communities in the US to drive content production to their specific needs.

• Ability to create attractive posts for social media to generate engagement and bring traffic.

• Demonstrated video sourcing, production, and editing abilities.

• Intimate familiarity with content management systems.

• Demonstrated ability to adjust strategy and implementation based on evolving needs.

• Ability to work with others to achieve a common goal.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Capable of implementing strategies to supplement the Spanish Digital Content Center and station-generated content production.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Applicants need a degree in journalism or a related field or 2 years of comparable work experience.

• Strong writing and organizational skills

• Enjoy a fast-paced environment

• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
