Reporting to the Director of Sales

  • Walmart, the Digital Merchandiser Walmart is responsible for managing all brand communications through Walmart Inc ecommerce platforms. The merchandiser will be responsible for improving B&G's online presence and improving content scores. Proficiency in executing plans for social media outlets while understanding the analytics behind the results will be required. The Digital Merchandiser must understand digital analytics in order to review digital campaigns, identify trends and provide fast and accurate reports in order to optimize the campaigns and produce the best return on investment. This position requires a fast paced, enthusiastic self-starter who is not afraid to take initiative and responsibility for social media strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage B&G product listing, descriptions and pricing on Walmart Inc eCommerce platforms. Ensures accurate product information and availability.

  • Maintain and lead content scorecard, provide regular reporting updates on scores and progress to sales team and internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure internal stakeholders understand retailer requirements and deliver on required content for all new items launches at Walmart and Sam's Club.

  • Manage item content and new item creation in Walmart's Item360 platform.

  • Be the subject matter expert for online content, creation and storage for retailer's platforms.

  • Audit brands and their competitors' digital shelves to provide analysis and content update recommendations.

  • Maintain and review weekly reports to identify opportunities for content score improvement, distribution opportunities and ecommerce growth.

  • Work with internal digital merchandisers on content created for GDSN (Global Data Synchronization) and Syndigo.

  • Coordinate B&G Websites, SEO efforts to drive traffic to Walmart and Sam's Club.

  • Participate in brand marketing meetings and be a content expert in order to manage content creation, curation, storage and syndication on Walmart's platform.

  • Embrace Continuous Improvement in all aspects of digital marketing.

Experience, Skills, Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • A minimum of 2 years overall business experience required, at least one of them working in digital/social online marketing required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong social media & technical online marketing skills

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Walmart systems: Retail Link/Luminate

  • Self-Starter

  • Detail oriented & organized

  • Multitasker
