The Digital Merchandise Assistant is a newly created role that will play an integral part in bringing the assortment and merchandising leg of the Wedding Registry marketplace (launching in late 2019) to life. They will be known as a trusted, collaborative and results-oriented business partner who possesses professional maturity and an ability to build strong partnerships. They will be responsible for maintaining the digital storefront, with a keen focus on product merchandising. This role will report directly to the Director of Site Merchandising.


  • Execute the end to end setup of all products for the site, including but not limited to product imagery, product copy, and taxonomy.

  • Accountable for product launching on the site on time and with all applicable selling information (Images, Copy, Color Names, etc.) and ensures it is merchandised and searchable in all equivalent locations cross-site.

  • Work cross-functionally to maintain the daily maintenance and schedule of product launches and on-site presentation/features.

  • Daily review of sales and KPIs to identify and understand the key drivers behind site performance.

  • Continually analyze, execute, and provide improvements to the customer experience as it relates to navigation, search, and product listing pages.

  • Prepare and analyze merchandising reporting and data to deliver insights and recommendations for online merchandising strategies.

  • Partner closely with Operations to monitor vendor inventory and fulfillment.

  • Review competitor websites to ensure industry alignment with product presentation, categorization, and trends.


  • 1-3 years of experience within a Digital Merchandising/eCommerce function.

  • Excels in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

  • Detail oriented with an ability to manage and complete multiple projects.

  • Creative thinker and problem-solver determined to achieve the desired outcome.

  • Collaborative, consultative style with an ability to establish trust and build relationships.

  • Magento experience a plus.

This person, under supervision from the buyers, works with the vendors, stores and other associates in the company to ensure merchandise gets to our stores. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Administrative Support to the merchandising team. * Supports buyers in creating, submitting and tracking purchase orders. * Accurately enters orders into systems. * Corresponds with vendors for shipping details. Reports delivery issues to buyer. * Obtains samples for approval prior to shipping. * Pulls data and creates selling reports for the merchant team. * Maintains professional relationships with external vendors and internal partners via telephone, fax, email and face-to-face meetings. * Communicates to vendors daily regarding purchase orders, amendments, traffic issues, as well as any pre-ticketing issues. * Manages samples upon receipt. * Prepares merchandise for presentations/meetings with the buying team. * Assists with special projects to include researching information. * Prepares daily status and other management reports as required. * Answering telephones, bookkeeping, typing, office machine operation, and filing. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
