CUMULUS MEDIA | Westwood One, New York, NY is seeking an ambitious Digital Media Planner to help us scale the Westwood One Podcast Network the fastest organically growing podcast network in America! This role will support sales, their agencies and clients to strategically develop proposals that deliver against negotiated client goals. The Digital Media Planner should be a self-starter, energetic, passionate problem solver who can be the primary point of contact for all information and process regarding inventory, pricing and content as it relates to addressing advertiser objectives and maximizing revenue potential. Were looking for someone that is detail oriented, thrives in a team environment but also able to dive in on individual tasks. A love of podcasting and sales doesnt hurt, as this role involves interfacing with podcast agencies and advertisers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, create and maintain sales proposals driving revenue through strategic packaging and pricing of Westwood One podcasts

  • Strategize with Sales to achieve negotiated client goals and translate the marketing elements into the customized campaign proposal

  • Partner and support Sales Managers, Account Executives, Inventory Analyst and Ad Ops team on the planning and deal life cycle

  • Analyze campaign delivery and assign make-good inventory

  • Adjust proposal accordingly to react to schedule changes and/or under pacing

  • Leverage deal expertise to proactively recommend optimized inventory solutions and opportunities

  • Communicate effectively with agency contacts in order to properly deliver proposals, revisions and fulfill any and all day to day requests

  • Support Sales Planning Manager with reporting needs including proactive inventory reporting, pacing, risk reporting and any ad hoc reporting requests as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or relevant work experience

  • 1-2 years experience building digital media plans

  • Comfortable working and engaging with various levels of talent as well as advertisers and agencies

  • Experience responding to RFPs from National Advertising Agencies

  • Working knowledge of media math

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office products

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment with revolving deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail, thorough, accountable, excellent follow-through

  • Able to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and keep excellent time management

  • Proven ability to work well within a team environment while accomplishing individual projects

The primary responsibility of this role is to take the lead in delivering best-in-class, strategic media plans that deliver against client objectives, resulting in high rates of retention and new business growth. Working closely with Sales, as well as Strategic Marketing, Sales Operations, Research, Product, Editorial, Digital and Activation the Digital Media Planner will work to ensure that campaigns and plans are strategically developed, executed, optimized and measured. This includes ensuring that all pre/post-sale processes that involve media are seamlessly adhered to, including plan development, order entry, traffic and billing. Duties and Responsibilities * Responsible for campaign execution, optimization and reporting of digital media campaigns * Collaborate with partners and Sales Representatives on proposal development and presentations * Work closely with Ad Ops team to review and analyze campaign results * Help oversee a team of Campaign Managers whose role is to provide strategic planning support across all media channels from pre-sale to post-sale * Achieve a thorough understanding of all internal systems to respond to client requests * Participate in internal brainstorming sessions * Analyze competitive activity in the marketplace * BS/BA degree * 3+ years of digital media experience at a publisher and/or ad agency * Bonus points for audio experience * Experience responding to media RFPs from advertising agencies and/or media clients * Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with good knowledge of web analytics and statistical analysis * Demonstrated experience effectively managing the digital campaign process from plan creation to campaign optimization based on analytics. * Willingness to learn about all Entercom product offerings including Radio, Podcasts, and events * Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment with revolving deadlines * Experience with DFP, Triton and Wide Orbit preferred * Strong attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills * Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint Entercom New York NY
