Position Summary

WQRF-TV and WTVO-TV in Rockford, IL are looking for an individual to join our team as a Digital Media Manager. The position provides complete on the job training with opportunities for advancement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Brief description of duties & responsibilities:

Develops and executes sales strategies which result in exceeding revenue targets in eMedia and new product revenue. Drives new business development.

Manages inventory and revenue forecasting. Manages recruitment and development of talented sales professionals. Prepares budgets and approves budget expenditures.

Manages Accounts Receivable for eMedia advertising. Calls on accounts with Account Executives. Performs other duties as assigned.

Work experience and education required for position:

Minimum one year experience in sales, preferably in the eMedia field. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Experience guiding, directing and motivating subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. Experience establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them. Ability to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills.

Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment. The eMedia Manager must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, work in close proximity to others, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.

Special Skills Required:

Fluency in English. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

What will you do? * Leads the development and delivery of holistic search marketing, processes, and technology, guided by reporting and a thorough ROI analysis across the entire sales funnel. * Partner with programmatic display lead and drive implementation of campaigns, engaging our customers during their journey through the sales funnel. * Collaborate with other digital team members to develop, execute and measure integrated digital marketing campaigns, aligned with business partner goals and KPIs. * Responsibilities split by channel: 80% paid search, 15% programmatic display, 5% SEO. * As a thought leader in paid search, you will be required to test, prove and implement new strategies and technologies, as well as influence the wider corporate marketing organization to adopt and deploy emerging digital marketing tactics and technologies. * Ensure monthly and quarterly budgets are fully spent and optimized to deliver high performance while recommending a budget distribution to continuously improve performance. * Contribute new ideas to the team as part of our Digital Marketing think tank, share and collaborate ideas with other like-minded people in similar roles to create a best in class digital marketing strategy. * Stay up to date with the digital marketing industry and trends. How will you get here? Education * Bachelor's Degree Experience * 3-5 years of experience in B2C or B2B customer-driven digital marketing, advertising, or eCommerce. * Advanced understanding of SEM using Google Ads, Bing Ads or other paid search engines. * Advanced experience with bid management platforms (e.g. Adobe Media Optimizer, Kenshoo, Marin or DoubleClick). * Experience managing and optimizing programmatic display within a DSP or ad exchange (e.g. Adobe Ad Cloud, Sizmek). * A solid understanding of SEO best practices, optimization techniques, and tools (e.g. Moz, SEMRush, Conductor). * Proven track record of creating, optimizing and reinventing campaigns to constantly improve results. * Strong Excel skills, ability to manage and update campaigns via bulk upload process. * Experience with analytics tools (e.g. PowerBI, Adobe Analytics). * Experience managing multiple strategic clients including ownership and oversight of large budgets. * Experience with DMP management, including 1st party, 2nd party and 3rd party data is a plus. * 5-10% travel Knowledge, Skills, Abilities * Excellent communication skills and ability to present to business partners on a regular basis. * Strong time management, organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
