The International Motorcycle Shows (IMS), the largest series of consumer motorcycle events across the United States, is looking for an enthusiastic digital marketer with experience in the motorcycle industry, a creative eye and passion for social media. The Digital Marketing Specialist will lead digital marketing efforts that are targeted towards motorcycle enthusiasts, like-minded consumers, and the Powersports Industry to generate ticket sales, brand recognition and booth sales. Key responsibilities include, strategy, implementation and analysis of social media channels, emails and website. In addition, creating digital marketing partnerships with exhibitors and sponsors will be a key to success. Some administrative or other marketing duties will occasionally be required to support Marketing Team. Travel to every show, sometimes consecutive weeks, and long hours at show-site are required.


  • Develop Social Media strategy, with specific KPI targets, and continually track performance metrics to make necessary adjustments in consultation with Marketing Manager

  • Create social media calendar for Instagram, Twitter and Facebook

  • Source content for social media from staff photographer and partners/sponsors, as well as creating owned content

  • Schedule and execute social media posts, with extensive live posting during shows

  • Manage Social Media Ambassador program

  • Stay up-to-date on changes to social media platforms, tactics and trends

  • Develop attendee and exhibitor email strategy and calendar, with specific KPI targets, and continually tracking performance metrics to make necessary adjustments in consultation with Marketing Manager

  • Create emails, in coordination with Art Director, and deploy through Eloqua

  • Make edits to website as needed using Drupal. Work with internal teams to make any design or function changes to website

  • Coordinate digital ticket promotions through ticketing platform

  • Work with Art Director to create digital promotional assets for partners and sponsors to use

  • Collaborate with key exhibitors and sponsors to create mutually beneficial digital marketing partnerships


  • Proficiency in Social Media strategy, analytics and execution. Using Instagram, Instagram Stories, Twitter, Facebook, Facebook Live, and scheduling platforms

  • Ability to craft email copy and direct layout and graphics use to reach a targeted audience

  • Knowledge of email best practices

  • Basic knowledge of HTML

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Powerpoint

  • Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills

  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and outside partners

  • Team player

  • Experience in Powersports industry and/or extensive knowledge of motorcycles

  • Using Instagram, Instagram Stories, Twitter, Facebook, Facebook Live, and scheduling platforms for a brand or business

  • Using a Marketing Automation platform

  • Some experience in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Some experience in events is a Plus

The Progressive International Motorcycle Shows is the world's largest consumer motorcycle show tour. With 35 years of experience, the IMS Tour provides attendees with an all-access pass to the world of motorcycling, connecting hundreds of thousands of motorsports enthusiasts with top manufacturers and premier aftermarket brands.

The 36th annual tour will visit several cities, welcoming experienced, new and non-riders to preview hundreds of new 2, 3 and 4-wheel vehicles before they hit the dealerships. Attendees will also have the chance to purchase parts, gear and accessories; speak with brand representatives; vote in the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show; see vintage bikes; connect with other enthusiasts; watch a stunt show and experience new attractions - all in one weekend!

For the 800+ exhibiting brands, IMS delivers motorsports enthusiasts, emerging new riders, and a growing percentage of the highly desirable under 35-year-old audience. They are affluent and ready to purchase, engaged with the sport and lifestyle, and influenced by the brands they meet. The top two reasons consumers attend the shows are to see new bikes and to evaluate and purchase aftermarket parts, gear and accessories.
