The CarolinaCard Office is seeking a student to work for the 2024-25 academic year as a Digital Marketing & Social Media Coordinator, supporting the marketing team with initiatives.
The duties and responsibilities are listed below:
Developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies across various platforms.
Analyzing social media trneds and data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
Collaborating with marketing team to align social media strategies with overall campaign goals.
Managing and growing social media accounts, ensuring high engagement and follower growth.
Monitoring and reporting social media campaign's performance and making data-driven adjustments as needed.
Staying abreast of audience or consumer behavior and what draws the right attention.
Developing and executing brand strategy and messaging.
Developing strategies that lead to metric-based growth of impressions, engagement, shares, follower growth, watch time and more.
Monitoring the internet for cultural moments, relevant news and contemporary topics.
With support from the marking team, taking a firm lead on ideation, strategic and tactical brainstorming, and the workflow of content production.
Ideating for a versatile mix of content formats, including short-term video, graphics, GIFs and more.
Organizing content posts on calendars.
Writing caption copy that captivates people and entices them to engage.
The functions and responsibilities are based on the marketing campaign, as well as the department's needs, and therefore may vary. The position also requires one to be detail-oriented and have excellent verbal and writing skills.
This position may possibly serve as an internship for a USC student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Qualifications
Have a fundamental understanding of marketing and how social media platforms (i.e. Instagram, Facebook, etc.) are constructed.
Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Have excellent organizational skills.
Be detailed-oriented.
Pursuing a degree (major or minor) in Marketing, Mass Communications or a related field.
