Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Digital Marketing & eCommerce Specialist to join our Smart Powered Vehicles team in Cypress, CA. The Digital Marketing & eCommerce Specialist will work to develop and implement effective, customer-focused initiatives that are distributed through digital marketing channels to drive increased customer engagement, higher customer satisfaction and sales growth. They will act as day-to-day project management lead on multi-channel digital campaigns and should come to the position with a creative and digital mindset. They will work with vendors and agencies to develop recommendations and evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing projects including development and reporting of key business metrics. This role will manage implementation of campaign requirements, content development, lead generation projects, CRM initiatives and optimization plans that utilize data driven decision-making. The DMeS will collaborate with team members regarding digital marketing and ecommerce functions to ensure communications are business aligned and deliverable dates are met.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage the execution and implementation of campaigns coordinating with management, internal groups, team members and outside vendors to create message platforms and areas of focus for content development. Improve customer satisfaction through activities that delight and retain our customers.

  • Lead implementation of digital website and ecommerce initiatives to ensure communication activities are developed and executed to support the direction of business revenue goals and provide brand reinforcement.

  • Build data analytics with the ability to leverage technology tools to develop reports and highlight key learnings to drive optimizations, channel, and partner recommendations

  • Optimize the digital customer lifecycle experience and leveraging customer journey mapping or customer lifecycle management to effectively achieve business goals.

  • Perform ongoing evaluation of digital marketing effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement. Identify dependencies, challenges and recommended milestones to proactively address potential issues, and identify key insights for optimization of programs performance.

  • Manage website content updates, ecommerce integrations and implementation of digital customer experiences. Support cross-platform content integration for brand and product message consistency based on management and brand direction.

  • Oversee and implement e-commerce efforts to achieve sales goals. Direct the work required to develop better and more efficient ways to sell to eBike customers. Provide cooperation and seek improvement areas to support eBike dealer's eCommerce activities.

  • Bring a deep understanding of ecommerce platforms, marketplace logistics, fulfilment, and supply chain management to improve operations and provide recommendations to achieve dealer network and channel success.

  • Provide weekly reporting to management on progress of ongoing activity to highlight programs, plans and campaigns and/or results reporting of KPIs. Activity reporting includes SEO rankings and recommendation for improvement to marketing efforts and digital customer engagement.

  • Attend and support marketing activities at trade shows, events, demonstrations, and sales meetings to strengthen the brand and increase sales.

  • Collaborate on the creation of digital media assets and digital/eCommerce strategy. Support the creation, coordination and maintenance of customer focused content, literature, and promotional material / display properties.

  • Contribute as a team member to various power assist bicycle activities and projects and other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • BA / BS degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or relevant work experience considered

  • 4+ years in Digital Marketing or equivalent job-related experience

  • Ability to travel as required (approximately 15%, including weekends) and still manage in-office workload

  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Knowledge of marketing technology such as marketing automation, web analytics, SEM tools, CMS platforms and data management platforms

  • Able to think tactically and manage time effectively with limited supervision

  • Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills

  • Bicycle and outdoor recreation product familiarity or experience a plus

  • Must be able to work well independently as well as within a team-based environment.

  • Some experience building content in CMS tools is valuable, similar to Optimizely, Shopify etc.

  • Understanding of Data Warehouse structures, familiar with data integration, SEO/SEM, and related regulatory environments.

Pay Range:

$79,037 - $91,795

Yamaha intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related experience. Base pay is part of Yamaha's Total Reward program, our Talent Acquisition Team will share more details as candidates progress.
