The Digital Marketing Associate, with focus on Email, will be responsible for the coordination, execution and analysis of email marketing campaigns across multiple Scholastic businesses.


  • Managing the email process from implementation to post-deployment

Recommending and implementing best practices across campaigns to help business partners meet their goals.

Providing strategic recommendations to businesses based on data analytics.

Working in the content management tool to build templated campaigns and sync in email tool.

Conducting quality assurance checks to ensure that campaigns meet business expectations.

Working with internal Scholastic teams, including marketing, database and analytics, developers, html coding, and creative team to meet campaign timelines.

Creating reports to monitor campaign performance and feedback results. Analyzing the outcomes of campaigns to recommend on-going and future optimizations.

Developing expert knowledge of email marketing processes and the systems used to execute and deploy an email campaign.

Participating in email team discussions to develop new procedures and best practices.

Liaison with internal Customer Care group regarding cross-company opt-out requests


  • The position is a very hands-on role that requires an organized team player

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Must be detail-oriented, able to follow a process, and have outstanding communication skills

Must have excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills

VIEW JOBS 9/8/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-07T00:00 Mission/Role The Associate Manager, Email Marketing will be responsible for executing the day-to-day email marketing planning, development, approval and deployment process for our Direct-To-Consumer channels. This role will maintain and expand upon our existing email marketing strategy with a focus on increased consumer/topical relevancy and qualified customer database acquisition. In addition, this role will act as the lynchpin between internal and external e-commerce, marketing and analytics stakeholders and will be a key contributor to driving online sales via email. CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Manage the email process workflow by: * Developing and overseeing the email calendar with the E-commerce and Merchandising teams across our Inline and Outlet businesses * Ensuring timely completion of creative briefs * Collaborating with the Marketing and Brand Design teams on content * Obtaining approvals on email content from Legal, Creative, and business counterparts * Working with our email service provider to test email assets across desktop, mobile and tablet * Partner with the Merchandising and Design teams as well as our email service provider to plan and launch daily emails. * Work closely with the Analytics team to: * Analyze findings, identify trends and recommend a course of action for future CRM initiatives * Develop and implement a testing plan for key email components such as subject lines, links, creative tests, CTA, etc. * Enhance email segmentation and personalization strategy through testing, results, and analysis * Participate in the cross-flow of results and best practices with the broader Marketing and E-commerce teams in a timely and actionable format. * Work with the Marketing and E-commerce teams to identify and execute customer database acquisition programs across our online and offline businesses. * Manage and enhance our Trigger Email program by refreshing creative, subject lines and testing as well as additional programs to cadence. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Marketing or related field * Minimum 3 years of experience in online email marketing, industry experience a plus * Prior experience in working with an email service provider and managing a daily email campaign and reporting on results is required * Understanding of email fundamentals: CAN-SPAM requirements, segmentation, performance metrics, etc. * Understanding of HTML and email design best practices across desktop, mobile and tablet * Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around metrics and ROI analysis * Demonstrated success in managing high volume integrated email marketing programs for consumer audiences * Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities * Exceptional writing and communication skills Cole Haan New York NY
