About You

The Account Associate is responsible for supporting the Account Manager with online advertising campaigns across Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Facebook. As an Account Associate, you will work on approximately 4 6 accounts and be responsible for studying and mastering 3Q's best practices for SEM and social marketing knowledge, both on the job and during an intensive training program.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Learning the fundamentals of search engine marketing & paid social marketing

  • Sharpening your technical skills in Excel, 3rd-party tools, and SEM and Social platforms

  • Developing an ability to contribute towards and drive strategy for clients

  • Using SEM and Social platforms and 3rd-party tools to pull client reports

  • Implementing tests (Ad Copy, Landing Page, Bid, Geo)

  • Working on ad hoc tasks delegated by the Account Manager or client

  • Managing priorities, multitasking, and delivering high-quality work

  • Keeping current on marketing blogs

  • Writing ad copy, analyze query traffic, research keywords, and complete routine

You'll need to have:

  • 0 - 6 months of paid search (SEM) or social marketing experience

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize to deliver multiple tasks on time

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Additional things that will impress us:

  • A Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred

  • A Google AdWords certification

  • You are an energetic and creative digital marketing enthusiast; eager to roll up your sleeves and be hands on, learn, and grow in the digital marketing space

  • You are entrepreneurial spirited and a self-starter; able to work both independently and in a team environment

We are seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Account Executive, Sales with Virginia Sports Properties in Charlottesville, VA. Job Summary The ideal candidate needs to demonstrate prior revenue results and leadership qualities with a minimum of one (1) year of direct sales experience in the sports multi-media environment with an emphasis on digital sales. The candidate must be driven and coachable to execute the Outfront Media Sports revenue model and to understand the distinctive relationship with Virginia Athletics, which has created a new standard in collegiate multi-media rights management landscape. Successful candidate will work out of the Virginia Sports Properties offices on campus and be motivated to: Work with the General Manager to pitch and close corporate partnership agreements Prospect , meet and close a significant number of new and renewal high level corporate sponsorships Generate incremental sponsorship revenue to meet and exceed individual and team goals Uphold and support by example a culture of hard work, creativity – always building team belief in the revenue goal Provide dynamic integrated partnership packages with a focus on digital and mobile sales ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Help develop and execute a sales plan to meet and/or exceed assigned annual revenue targets Identify potential sponsors for Virginia Sports Properties through networking with Virginia stakeholders and business partners, researching local, regional and national companies, and selling them marketing platforms that incorporate sponsorship inventory with an emphasis on digital assets and includes entitlements, signage, print, promotion, community involvement and hospitality. Develop compelling sales presentations for new marketing partners by incorporating research, category dynamics and a clear understanding of partner’s marketing goals. Manage the sales process from start to finish (create proposals and draft/negotiate contracts). Entertain and cultivate sponsors in various settings. Be available for game days and evening athletic events and coaches shows. Be available to travel for client presentations. Represent Virginia Sports Properties, University of Virginia and OMS in a professional manner. Research sports sponsorship industry and stay current with relevant market trends and conditions.
