Digital Literacy And Computer Science - 1203

McCall Middle School has an anticipated opening for a Digital Literacy and Computer Science Teacher for grades 6-8 during the 2024-2025 school year.

Functional Job Duties:
Provide an inviting, exciting, engaging, learning environment;
Maintain and enrich student expertise in computer science/digital literacy;
Design an innovative curriculum consisting of various technology topics, including computer hardware, software applications, coding, and digital citizenship.
Work collaboratively with other teachers across the district to share best practices and curriculum;
Assess and evaluate students' understanding and performance through projects, assignments, and practical exercises. Provide constructive feedback.
Educate students on responsible and ethical use of technology, internet safety, and digital citizenship principles.
Stay updated with the latest technology trends, educational technology tools, and teaching methods to constantly update curriculum to meet the needs of students.
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid DESE Teacher Certification (Instructional Technology All levels or DLCS 5-12)
Proficiency with the MA Digital Literacy and Computer Science standards
