You'll have a role on our Digital Learning Platforms and Solutions (DLPS) team in one of McKinsey's offices within the United States. The DLPS team is remotely located across the Central and Eastern time zones. DLPS partners closely with Learning Delivery, Design, Development, and other Portfolio teams to expand the role of technology-based learning at McKinsey.
You'll work closely with McKinsey Learning, People Digital and Technology & Design (IT) to plan, develop, launch, and maintain new platforms and solutions for all firm members. You'll join an innovative, solutions-oriented team leading the charge toward rapid changes in the firm's technology landscape. DLPS adheres to the overall mission of McKinsey Learning - which is to accelerate every learner's full potential by matching world class and innovative technology solutions to learner needs.
You'll provide strategic thinking, planning, and guidance to oversee and evolve one or more digital learning platforms.
Working closely with Learning and Digital leadership, stakeholders, and IT, you will plan, develop, launch and maintain digital learning solutions, implementing platforms that serve our entire firm of over 30,000 members globally, including our consultant and internal support and administration population.
Innovation is a key objective for our fast-paced, agile team, and the learning world can rapidly pivot in response to new technology. You will be expected to stay abreast of innovation and market research in adult and digital learning and apply those approaches to optimize the user experience when interacting with digital learning platforms. Similarly, you will maintain a working knowledge of changes within the ecosystem of McKinsey firm technology.
You will lead product strategy with solutions managers and leadership and oversee the planning of product roadmaps, incorporating feedback from across the Learning organization and the user base.
A key aspect of planning digital learning solutions is consideration of their effectiveness and ability to integrate with existing networks and systems. You will determine analytical and integration needs for digital learning platforms and other related solutions, to ensure that key information can be captured and shared regularly with stakeholders.
You will work closely with DLPS and IT colleagues to design and implement operational processes to support system maintenance, data extraction and reporting, and evolution of the user experience.
As a bridge between the Learning stakeholders and technology teams, you'll work closely with IT colleagues to ensure platform maintenance, security, and cohesion with the complete digital ecosystem at the firm. This includes potential integrations with other firm tools, such as new data sources for enabling a more refined content personalization.
University degree and excellent academic record
6+ years of experience with eLearning technology; knowledge of adult learning and experience with digital learning solutions
Successful experience in a similar role managing enterprise-wide initiatives and projects, especially high-stakes, complex technology initiatives
Experience with leading systems implementations; including but not limited to requirements gathering, development of test cases and execution of platform evaluation
Strong experience working with learning technology including Learning Management Systems and other digital learning tools
Proven organization and problem-solving abilities; experience leading a globally dispersed project team
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with a broad and diverse spectrum of stakeholders, including senior sponsors, and end users
Strong project planning and management capabilities; experience with Agile project methodology and working with remote teams a plus
