Fiduciary Trust International is hiring a Digital Learning and Development Consultant. This new position is being created as part of the implementation of Fiduciary's Digital Strategy. In this role, you will serve as the primary coordinator and trainer for digital company tools and applications, new product rollouts, and new hire onboarding, including hardware, software and access coordination.
This is a hybrid position, requiring you to work out of our New York City office at least two days per week.
Position Overview:
The Digital Learning and Development Consultant (L&D Consultant) will support the Head of Digital, Product and Program Managers, Operational Teams, and Front Office Management in learning to use the company tools and software to successfully manage client relationships. The role will create, develop and conduct a robust and effective employee onboarding process, increasing the speed to market for new roles at the firm.
The L&D Consultant will interact directly with the Digital Execution/Operational teams daily to understand and develop training plans for company software tools and products. The role will promote adoption and directly train employees in-person and virtually on company tools and rollouts following the digital and operational roadmaps.
The L&D Consultant will focus on four major categories of responsibilities: (1) Application launches, communications, and trainings; (2) New employee training and administration; (3) Creating learning courses and learning strategies; (4) Administering and maintaining digital tool job-aids and training materials.
Responsibilities:
New Hire Employee Training and Administration:
Create and conduct regularly scheduled employee onboarding process
Conduct effective training according to employee roles and needs
Create training plans and provide feedback on training needs
Application Launches, Communications, and Trainings:
Understand each workstream's roadmap, product, and impact on the organization
Create launch training plan for each roadmap and application updates
Draft training plan, including communications (email communications, written content for training, video scripts, and videos)
Create timelines and communication plans for each product launch
Execute on the plan and provide virtual and/or in-person support, especially for our New York location
Ensure content and activities are recorded and content is kept up to date
Partner with product teams to identify enhancements to be launched and create communications to keep employees and clients informed
Build relationships and review and provide data to the team
Creating Learning Strategies and Courses:
Assess learning needs to design strategies to support organization learning
Understand how to effectively deliver key messages and themes
Create job-aids and training materials, including digital training courses
Administer and Maintain Digital Job Aids and Materials:
Administer online repositories of training information
Proactively keep materials up to date after new releases and changes
Ideal Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
2-5 years of experience in training, teaching, education or similar field preferred but not required
2-5 years of experience in the financial services industry with client-facing experience preferred but not required
Must be able to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship as we are unable to provide visa support or sponsorship for this role
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Instructional design
Communication and large room speaking abilities
Business acumen and financial services industry knowledge
Understanding of learning theory, including how people learn and best practices
Ability to make informed recommendations based on data and trends
Self-starter with the ability to be persistent in solving problems
Ability to practice good judgment while making basic business decisions
Effectively handle various projects and deadlines, prioritizing each task appropriately
Proactive work style
Ability to travel (local or regional)

Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At FTI, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the base salary for this position to range between $120,000 - $145,000.
