The WTE Quality team is looking for motivated and detail oriented, Digital Key Quality Engineer with excellent critical thinking, problem isolation, and interpersonal skills. You will join the Quality Engineering team responsible for the functional validation of the NFC iOS Frameworks responsible for all modern day use cases leveraging NFC and other wireless protocols.

You will be tackling a cross-functional role interfacing with many different teams within WTE and SWE to further improve the quality of our products, and keep a mindful eye on how we can make them even greater.

Key Qualifications

  • Past experience Test Planning, taking use cases/specifications and crafting test cases

  • Experience working with wireless protocols (Bluetooth, NFC, etc)

  • Experience using scripting or high level languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Shell, Objective-C)

  • Developing and executing automated test cases and filing detailed bug reports

  • Overall Experience with SQA methodologies and processes

  • Firm understanding of the Software Development Process

  • Experience demonstrating multi-functional teams, partners, tools and processes

  • Experience working on new products and seeing them through to fruition


You will join a complementary team responsible for qualifying NFC Use Cases (Apple Pay, Digital Car Key, NFC Reader Mode, etc) on Apple's innovative devices. Within this team you will be responsible for pushing Digital Car Key forward. While assisting the integration of new Manufacturers to the platform and growing the platform into additional use cases and technologies, you will be ensuring the Digital Car Key system is robust and working efficiently.

AS A PART OF THIS TEAM, YOU WILL: Demonstrate your existing skills to ensure quality of the feature area that you are working on. You will study the project specifications and use that knowledge to understand existing test plans or build new ones based on project needs. You will use your technical knowledge of the end to end infrastructure to build a test platform with robust test coverage. Automation, simulation, and scripting will be a core component of your role to aid in testing. You will help prevent regressions and improve the overall quality of every new iOS release for our customers.

Education & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
