The Digital Inventory Analyst works on creation and implementations of digital products for all platforms pertaining to national, local and ad exchange business units. This position has a leading role in projects correlating with inventory and creative/product testing. This individual creates digital inventory within a timely and accurate manner. The Digital Inventory Analyst has a major role in troubleshooting digital products, ad delivery and has an in depth understanding of the ad serving platforms. This position requires detailed knowledge of reporting and sends reports to departments with this data. This role also participates in ad ops on call rotation to assist markets in off hour requests.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and creates all inventory products for all Digital Owned and Operated systems

  • Collaborates on projects pertaining to Digital local advertising

  • Manages and builds inventory and testing of different ad exchange partners

  • Creates and maintains detailed monthly reports of inventory data sources

  • Spearhead for troubleshooting ad serving issues

  • Deadline Adherence: Manages inventory requests in an accurate timely manner within turn-around time

  • Collaboratively work with different departments within the company pertaining to all components involving inventory

  • Extreme attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects

  • Manage relationships with business partners inside and outside TEGNA

  • Leads on testing new products/releases/software's/inventory and provides detailed data on results gathered

  • Analyzing inventory data sets in all digital advertising platforms

  • Tests creative with conjunction of digital advertising inventory targeting

  • Presents and trains inventory information to different departments and stations within the company

This position creates all the inventory for the digital ad campaigns which requires maintaining that data in multiple programs. Head of testing new releases/software's/products that connect with Digital Ad Campaigns. This person will be one of the experts of all software's and databases that the department uses. This role fosters relationships with different partners inside and outside of TEGNA.

Focus and Impact. Describe the position's area of focus and principal responsibility for business and operations planning. Identify whether the position is strategic, operational or tactical regarding planning. Indicate whether planning is short, medium or long term.

This role is strategic, operational and tactical and requires collaboration with different teams to complete projects and fulfill requests in timely accurate manner. Collaborates with Ad Operations Management team on new product processes and protocol when needed.

Indicate the types of problems and issues faced by the position, and the level of independence the position has over product creation, process improvements, decision-making, resource allocation, etc. Define the authority the position has over budgets, revenue, etc. Indicate the types of judgments made regarding the work.

Job Requirements

This position works independently to resolve issues and complete requests and projects as they arise according to level of importance. This role will train departments on new/existing products that correlate with inventory. Detailed communication of technical information through different channels. This person will be quick to respond to the different forms of communication used to support the business with appropriate and accurate knowledge.

This role is measured on accuracy of inventory creations and fulling requests in a timely manner. This individual will lead on all projects that incorporate inventory. This position will also need to be able to provide detailed reporting metrics and able to analyze inventory data sets.

Education/Certification

Bachelor's degree in a business or technical related discipline.

Experience
2+ years of working experience in ad serving platforms, digital inventory role, ad trafficking. (3 - 5 years of practical work experience in digital technology or advertising, inventory can be substituted for college education).

  • Previous experience in digital ad serving technologies, digital inventory management, etc.

  • Ad and web coding skills a plus

  • Knowledge on video serving platforms a plus
